Beyond Politics: Build the Damn Ballroom
Never before have there been as many attacks on the White House or a presidential residence and assassination attempts on a president. During the Trump era, that number is more than a dozen. It’s likely not going to stop.
Sure, there are those who could argue the new White House ballroom, under construction, is too big. They’ll quibble over aspects of the Trumpian design with its interiors brimming with gold leaf. It doesn’t change the fact that the White House needs a secure formal event space now more than ever before.
